My name is Ngoc Pham - currently a Controls Dev Engineer at Tesla.
During my time at Tesla, I bring extensive expertise honed through my past experiences in controls and industrial automation.
Previously, I spent 4 years at Lakeside Process Controls (Emerson Business Partner), and Tolko Industries Ltd.
This hands-on experience allowed me to gain in-depth knowledge of industrial automated control systems, further solidified by my Certified Instrumentation & Control Technician (Red Seal) certification.
My career has been deeply crossed path with Emerson's DeltaV distributed control system (DCS), a cutting-edge automation platform renowned for its capabilities and scalability.
Through my work with DeltaV, I have developed a comprehensive understanding of its unique features, such as CHARM IOs, which enables flexible and efficient field wiring and signal integration, reducing engineering and maintenance costs, and commissioning time.
At Tesla, I have further expanded my skillset by working with Beckhoff Industrial PCs (IPCs) and Siemens Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs), establishing system communication via industry-standard protocols like Modbus and PROFINET.
This diverse experience has allowed me to streamline operations and increase efficiency during commissioning time.
With my degree in Computer Engineering, I also enjoy developing web applications, working with electronics, solving problems and learning new things everyday.
My current interests are: artificial intelligence/machine learning, quantum mechanics.
Fun facts:
When I am not in front of the computer, you can find me playing with my dog Mocha, travelling, or camping.
